OPEN SITTING

Sunday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.  Join us in-person for meditation and book discussion.  We are currently reading Light Comes Through: Buddhist Teachings on Awakening  by Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche. You do not have to own the book as we have copies to share.  Beginners are encouraged and welcome to come for instruction at 10:00 am.

 

Weekdays (M-F) (online)  from 6:45 am to 7:15 am. Meditation sitting practice.

 

Monday Morning Meditation (in-person) from 6:00 am to 6:45 am.  Meditation sitting practice.

 

Tuesday Evening Meditation (in-person) from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Open to practitioners who have received Shambhala meditation instruction. 

 

HEART OF RECOVERY (online) New Time!  Every Monday 6:30 – 7:30 pm

QUEER & TRANS DHARMA    1st (online)  and 3rd Wednesdays (hybrid)  7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.  Meditation, followed by book study/discussion.  Newcomers, please plan to arrive at 6:45 pm.

SHAMBHALA CULTURE & TEACHINGS

Following four years of difficult talks, in December, 2021, a mediation agreement was reached between the Shambhala Board and the Shambhala Lineage Board.  More information about the separation between the Shambhala Organization and the Sakyong Lineage may be found here.

Shambhala Gainesville is a member of Shambhala Global and continues to offer the Shambhala teachings of its founder Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche.  Here is a link to a Q&A that addresses the questions that concern many visitors to this page.
